Affiliate and FTC disclosure

The short version
If you click a link to a merchant and later buy something, Shopfront Stack may earn a commission. You do not pay more because you used our link. That financial relationship is a material connection under the US Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement guides. We tell you here, in the site header, and at the top of articles that contain those links.
Who we are
Shopfront Stack is published by Gary Thomas, an independent writer. We are not employees, owners, or official partners of the merchants named below beyond a standard affiliate (publisher) relationship. We do not claim to have “tested 47 hosts,” run a certified lab, or collected customer testimonials that we then invented for this site.
Programs (CJ Affiliate)
We intend to participate in CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction) with the following merchants. Affiliate hrefs are centralized in lib/affiliates.ts and may still be placeholders until CJ deep links are pasted in.

We do not treat Bluehost, HostGator, or other WordPress hosts as CJ partners on this site. Mentions of Squarespace, Wix, Google, or Microsoft are editorial. They are not, by default, affiliate links.
How links are marked
Affiliate anchors use rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and open in a new tab. If a URL still contains the word PLACEHOLDER, it is not a live CJ deep link yet.
What we will not do
- Hide the relationship behind fake review scores
- Claim a purchase was independent if it was commissioned
- Promise you the lowest price on the internet
- Let a merchant write a “review” under our byline
